Hull Options
The 420 hull is constructed out of polyester resin and fibreglass, moulded in carefully measured and certified hull moulds. The International 420 Class Rules do allow some variation and tolerances in the hull which means that the 420 is a one design but not a strict one design class. Therefore, 420s from different 420 hull manufacturers have subtle difference in construction and mouldings which can be seen by some to be positive or negative features.
