New Class Administrator

GBR 420 Class Class matters

Dear All, Members, Sailors, Parents,
Many of you know that Helen Clemetson has been our Class Administrator for many years. She first joined the Class when her son James joined from the Optimist Class.  She was an integral key player within the class, someone who always made an effort to assist the class and the sailors in her role as parent and then formally as Class Administrator.  Her son James left the class when he was 18 and that was some three years ago!   Helen now feels understandably that it is time to handover to fresh blood.
The Class has undertaken a selection process and following a series of very encouraging applications, the Committee has appointed Kelly McPherson to take on the new role as Class Administrator. Kelly will be known to many of you as Dylan’s mum!   Kelly has a great history of actively volunteering on and off the water accross different classes (Tera, Feva, Optimist and now the 420) and she plays an active role her sailing club at Burnham on Crouch. The Class very much looks forward to welcoming Kelly into her new role.  She will formally take over on Monday 10th June 2019.
It would be entirely remiss of me as Chairman not to pass on my very sincere thanks to Helen for all she has done for the Class.  Members will not necessarily appreciate the work and committment she has tireless applied to her role.  Helen will be sorely missed but we wish her well for the future and thank her very much for her commitment over the years.
All the best,
Nick Bacon
Class Chair
